Helicopter Lesson Discovery
Hovering in a helicopter for the first time is a unique and thrilling sensation. You get hands-on experience of the only flying machine that goes backwards and sideways as well as forwards. Guided by a CAA qualified instructor, you will also be assessed for your potential to become a helicopter pilot. Your flying counts towards a helicopter Pilot’s license. Includes one to one training from a CAA licensed instructor, introductory briefing on helicopter controls and safety and one flight of 20-25 minutes in a 2-seater helicopter during which the student takes the controls. Enjoy a day on the farm going back to basics and working with nature. Discover the magical bond between man and dog as you learn about the special skills developed by shepherds over the centuries. You will be working with a breed of dog that has the ability to communicate with its human partner in a way that is quite unique. It is this communication that is used to create a partnership between man and dog and therefore enable them to work together in harmony. This is not a skill that can be taught in a short space of time but you will learn the basics of this œlanguage and we will help you to œtalk to the dog and to listen to what it is trying to say to you. The pace will be controlled to enable you to understand the dog and the sheep and to learn your part in the game. The package includes expert tuition provided by Barbara Sykes, a shepherdess, farmer and dog trainer who has represented her country at International Sheep Dog Trials. The experience lasts up to 5 hours.

Gliding Lesson Explorer
Experience the total tranquillity of soaring and circling on the thermals, drifting silently on the wind in a dual control glider. After a short briefing from your British Gliding Association instructor, it's time to take to the skies for an unforgettable flight. You'll take the controls during your flight, and if you get hooked, this first lesson counts towards a Glider Pilot's certificate. Includes one-to-one training from a BGA licensed instructor, introduction to gliding, safety and controls and a voucher which can be used for a one day gliding course (2-3 flights, according to location). Flight lengths are usually 15-30 minutes (according to weather conditions). The experience lasts for a whole day.
