Circus Skills Day

Circus Skills Day
Did you ever dream of running away to join the circus when you were a kid? This experience will show you what you missed out on. And you're certainly in for a busy day. You'll learn acrobatic balancing and tumbling (like cartwheels and handstands - definitely stuff you can show off to your friends), stilt walking, juggling and diabolo (the spinny thing that you juggle with sticks). And then there's the really amazing stuff - static trapeze, tight wire walking and (drum roll please!) flying trapeze. You won't forget this day in a hurry! If it all sounds impossible, and frankly pretty scary, don't worry; you'll be under constant expert supervision, within a carefully controlled environment. All equipment hire is included (except for the natty sequined costume), and you'll also get lunch at the nearby Juggler Cafe. Just bring a sense of humour, bags of energy and willingness to look like a bit of a clown...

JCB Racing
Now this is the height of cool. Forget about Ferraris, on this experience you get to race a giant excavator - a vehicle that very few people get the chance to drive. After a safety briefing, you'll climb up behind the controls of an 8.5 ton JCB digger, capable of around 20mph (although when you're in the cab it'll feel a lot quicker). There's hands-on training and at least two race heats over a specially-designed course, including some challenges to complete along the way, with the fastest drivers going through to the grand final. After the racing event has finished, feel free to enjoy the rides and drives in the park - everything is included.

A 30 Minute Stampe SV4 Aerobatic Flight
Nerves of steel and a stomach of solid rock? Then vintage aerobatic flying is for you. The experience starts with your feet firmly on the ground during a comprehensive briefing. You'll chat through any specific requirements with your instructor so that the flight can be tailored to what you want (and how brave you're feeling). Then don a Biggles-style flying jacket before climbing into the cockpit of a vintage 1930s Stampe SV4 aircraft. The Stampe is a classic Belgian version of the English Tiger Moth and the model you'll fly in has been lovingly restored. Feel the rush of the wind from the open cockpit as your pilot puts the plane through a breathtaking full aerobatic sequences (subject to weather conditions and at the pilot's discretion). You'll also have the opportunity to take the controls yourself and discover the sensation that has made generations of flyers fall in love with these great little planes. Back on terra firma, receive a flight certificate to take home.

Extended Clay Shooting
More clay shooting mayhem. Pulling a fully loaded shotgun tight against your shoulder, the wafting smell of gunpowder in the air and your sights set firmly on the clay, you will learn the basics of shooting with a fully qualified instructor. At one of the largest shooting clubs in the country you will receive one to one instruction and a large amount of shots within your combined extended time slot. Within minutes even the most modest beginner will be picking off clays left, right and centre with the precision of a hardened sharp shooter. Nothing compares to the satisfaction of pulling the trigger, feeling the gentle kick back and witnessing the power as the clay is obliterated. Tea and coffee is provided on the day, and there are full restaurant facilities provided in the clubhouse where you can enjoy a full meal or a refreshing pint (after the action of course!) payable on the day. Happy hunting!

Overnight Ghost Hunt
Investigate the paranormal on a spooky all-night visit to a haunted hotspot. All of our locations have had recent reports of spectral activity, and with psychics, mediums and a host of specialist equipment (we're not talking ghostbusters here, this is hi-tech!), your chances of experiencing some of the mysteries of the 'other world' are magnified. You'll start with a health and safety briefing and a psychic and equipment workshop. Then you'll go for a guided ghost walk, with a historian on hand to back up any psychic instincts you have about the venue and its spirits. Next you'll split into groups to take part in experiments and vigils, before re-assembling for a group discussion. At some venues a light buffet is included. Tea and coffee throughout the night will help to keep your energy levels up - though with an experienced team on hand to help you make the most of this adrenaline-fuelled ghost hunt, you won't want to go to sleep. You may not even dare close your eyes!
