World Class Half Day Yacht Racing

World Class Half Day Yacht Racing
In 1968 Sir Robin Knox-Johnston became the first man in history to sail non-stop single handed around the globe. He pledged that one day men and women from all walks of life with no prior sailing knowledge would be able to follow in his footsteps (well, in the wake of a yacht anyway) and the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race was born. Since the first sailors cast off on their voyage, 1300 men and women have competed in this unique race around the continents in some of the fastest yachts of their kind. Now you can experience what it's like to be part of the sailing team on one of these extraordinary 60 or 68 ft yachts, actively taking part and learning how to steer, handle sails and haul sheets. You'll learn all about life at sea from your captain and as you cut through the seas with the wind in your hair, you'll understand why so many before you have fallen in love with the ocean. This breathtaking trip is exhausting, but exhilarating.

Thames Dinner Cruise and London Eye for Four
Should you go on a sight-seeing cruise on the Thames? Or are the views better from the London Eye? Or should you just cut to the chase and have a nice dinner somewhere? With this experience you can do all three. You may have to queue a bit but it'll certainly be worth it when you climb aboard your air-conditioned capsule of the London Eye. The Eye slowly turns, giving you sensational panoramic views across London from 135 metres up. Then later, board Bateaux London's river cruiser from the glass pontoon at Embankment Pier for a welcome cocktail. There's cabaret entertainment during your four course a la carte meal before after-dinner dancing. But don't let the great food distract you from the fabulous views, as you cruise past the Houses of Parliament, the Tower of London and many more iconic landmarks. Depending on the season you'll cruise at dusk or in darkness, with the city lit up along the river. This is a wonderful way to see the city from two unique perspectives.

Sightseeing Pleasure Flight over London
This experience gives you a unique perspective on the sights of London - and one that doesn't involve being either cooped up on the tube or jostled on crowded pavements. After a short pre-flight briefing you'll board a Piper Seneca twin-engine plane for a fantastic half hour sightseeing trip. After taking off in Essex you'll follow the Thames west into the heart of the city, getting a view of the capital that most people only see on the opening titles of EastEnders. You'll see the Millennium Dome, Tower Bridge, HMS Belfast, the towers at Canary Wharf, the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament, then turn north to fly over Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace and the royal parks, before heading back east to land in Essex. You'll get an amazing perspective on the geography of the city and the beauty of its landmarks - and whether you're a tourist or a Londoner born and bred, you'll see the capital in a whole new way.

Tour of Twickenham with Gareth Chilcott
We can't all score a try at Twickenham, but this experience at least lets you play out some of your rugby dreams. Your experience starts when you meet Bath, England and British Lions legend Gareth Chilcott. After a tea or coffee, Gareth will take you on a tour of Twickenham, including the England team dressing room, the Royal Box, the players' tunnel and even the hallowed turf from the pitch side (we challenge you not to imagine you're running out to the roar of the home crowd!). Then visit the interactive Museum of Rugby, which houses the most extensive collection of rugby memorabilia in the world. Along the way, you'll have plenty of time to get playing tips from Gareth, as well as some insider gossip - Gareth is full of funny stories and anecdotes. Dare you to call him Cooch.
