Biplane Sightseeing Tour of London

Biplane Sightseeing Tour of London
These days air travel is a nightmare of queues, checks and delays - and modern passenger jets are so vast that it's easy to forget you're in the air at all. Recreate the thrill of early air travel with a flight in one of Britain's best loved pre-war aircraft, the De Havilland Dragon Rapide biplane. Taking off from the Imperial War Museum Duxford, you'll fly south to London, enjoying magnificent views from 1,500 feet. First the Millennium Dome appears on the horizon, followed by London's famous skyline. You'll get wonderful views of the capital's landmarks, including Canary Wharf, St Paul's Cathedral, the royal parks and palaces and the meandering Thames. Back on terra firma, you'll get free entry into the Imperial War Museum (and half price entry for any guests) - it's Europe's premier aviation museum, spread over 85 acres and housing classic planes like Spitfires, a B17 and the prototype Concorde.

Western Horse Riding Experience for Two
Discover your inner cowboy (or cowgirl) on this great day out in the New Forest, England's answer to the Wild West (okay there's lots of trees and not many cacti, but bear with us). You'll start off with coffee, bacon rolls and a briefing from your ranch hand. Then head up to the field to meet and catch your horse, before learning how to groom and tack him up Western style. Then you'll have a Western riding lesson in the arena - it's easier to learn and feels more secure than riding English-style, so it's great even for beginners. And those cowboys had to spend all day in the saddle, so they made damn sure it was comfortable! Take a break for a barbecue lunch and then head off on the Western Trail into the forest. You'll finish up back at the ranch, to untack, rub down and feed your horse, and turn him out to pasture before you settle down to a well-earned coffee. Rawhide!

Husky Dog Sledding For One and A Family Spectator Day
Who says you need snow to ride behind a team of huskies? These descendents of the wolf family love to run, so if the sled is on wheels then any terrain works. All you need to think about is holding on tight, these dogs don't hang around for slow boarders! Don't worry, we're not going to throw you to the dogs (who're quite happy with their diet of meat and fish), you'll meet a husky handler who can explain what the dogs do, why and give some history of where they come from. You'll be shown how to ride the cart and control the dogs and along with your handler, will get to ride behind a team of two to four dogs through the stunning Darent Valley. Back at the centre, warm up with a hot drink and piece of cake. It may look easy, but the balance and skill required makes for some tiring mushing or hiking (terms used to run the sled). You also get a family pass for two adults and two children into the centre, which houses many fascinating creatures including displays of reptiles and birds.
