Snowboarding
Let's be honest: nobody wants to hit the slopes for the first time looking like a complete novice, even if they are one. So get some practice in before going on holiday with a snowboarding lesson at SnowDome, the UK's top indoor real snow centre. You'll start off with a safety briefing and an introduction to all the equipment (which is all included). Then you'll try out some basic moves and find out whether you're a 'regular foot' or 'goofy foot' - that is, whether you leading leg is your left or your right. You'll get to grips with the right stance for balance, and then move on to gaining control of the toe edge and heel edge of the board and going down the slope zigzagging from left to right and back again - the 'falling leaf' manoeuvre. Your qualified instructor will be on hand throughout, to give you loads of help and to pick you up when you topple over.

Family Off-Road Driving Adventure at Silverstone
One thing is guaranteed of this experience - there is no way you'll hear the all too familiar whinge from the back seat of 'Are we there yet?' Quite the opposite in fact, as this family off-road adventure will be filled with fun, excitement and maybe even a few stomach-churning moments for you and your two passengers. Begin with an in-car safety briefing before a demonstration lap with your instructor driving (by your side every step of the way to educate and encourage). Then take the wheel of the Land Rover Defender, which will do everything you ask of it, and more. Silverstone's challenging purpose-built off-road course combines steep gradients, big drops and deep water, demanding your full attention as you navigate a tricky obstacle course. You might be going slower than walking pace at times, but precision handling and rock solid nerves are definitely required. Your experience concludes with a debrief after the three of you stumble out of the vehicle onto terra firma.

Extreme Dodgems for Six
With race commentators and trophies to be won, this is real racing in fantastic 1300cc saloon stock cars. After a briefing on safety and driving techniques, you'll drive for four practice laps and two racing heats of eight laps each. Based on the points scored in the heats, each driver will then be streamed into a championship final for ten electrifying laps against drivers of a similar ability. The winners of the four finals line up for eight laps in the Showdown Shootout race to find the ultimate champion. Conclude with a trophy presentation for the best drivers of the day. The adrenaline is pumped up throughout with commentary over the PA system, race marshals, fans and a great atmosphere.

Outdoor Endurance Go Karting
In these days of touchy-feely fairness, it's not often you get to unleash your competitive side. So try karting for an evening of fast and furiously competitive fun. This fantastic outdoor circuit is where a lot of top F1 drivers, including Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button, first got into racing before being lured away by the big bucks. You'll be behind the wheel of a Pro 390cc Kart, which reaches speeds of up to 70mph (and believe us, that will feel twice as fast in a kart). Start off with a video and safety briefing, followed by ten minutes of practice laps to get used to the karts and the 1,200m outdoor international circuit. Then it's time for you to pit your driving skills against the other participants in a thirty minute endurance race that is ideal for novices and experts alike. Every driver will receive printed lap times and there is a trophy presentation for the top three drivers. Do you have the competitive edge to cross the finish line first?
