Family Honda Powerboating
Looking for something different for the family? Blow away those cobwebs with a vengeance in a powerboat experience round the south coast - it's wet, it's windy and loads of fun! The Honda Formula 4-Stroke (HF4S) championship is the most exciting offshore powerboat series in the world - these boats are responsive and manoeuvrable and what more perfect way of keeping the kids occupied at the weekend? You'll start off with a safety briefing and introduction to the boat, then it's time for everyone to get changed into the provided safety gear and racing team kit (a snap of which makes a great screensaver). You and your family willl head out onto Southampton water with an expert driver (usually a current or veteran racer) who'll put the boat through her paces while you hang on tight. You get tuition in how to handle the boat and then about 15 minutes hands-on driving (at the skipper's discretion). The boat operates within Southampton Water and, weather permitting, goes out onto the Solent.

Diamond Ring Making Experience for Two
Are you someone who can't walk past a jewellers without stopping to admire the gorgeous pieces displayed in the window? Emeralds, rubies, sapphires... and top of the list, a girl's best friend - the sparkle and shine of a diamond. But have you ever wondered what goes into creating such beautiful pieces? With this experience you'll get the opportunity to watch master craftsmen in their working environment and learn about the clarity and colour of different stones. With your new-found knowledge, you'll each choose your own 0.12ct diamond and a 9ct yellow or white gold band to create your own diamond ring. You'll take part in the whole journey, from bending and soldering to filing and buffing. There'll even be the chance to have your rings engraved before the diamonds are set and they receive a final finish. Your finished rings will have an approximate financial value of £250, but these unique pieces are, of course, priceless! Breakfast, lunch, soft drinks and all materials are included.

Horse Riding in the Country for Two
Horse riding isn't just spoiled little girls cajoling fat ponies round the gymkhana course - it's relaxing, exciting and refreshingly outdoorsy. So whether you're a novice or an experienced rider we're sure that you'll love this riding day. Staff always appreciate an early arrival so that you can both get registered and help make sure the experience begins promptly and runs to time. You'll start off with a half hour lesson within the grounds of the riding school, during which your instructor will assess your abilities to plan your next activity. Then you'll either continue with your lesson or go out on a walk and trot hack in lovely English countryside or woodland (on your first visit, cantering is not allowed outside the arenas). Over the course of the experience you'll have three hours' riding, taking place before and after a hearty three course lunch, which you'll thoroughly deserve - riding is pretty physical and there's nothing like fresh air to make a person hungry!

Bulldog Military Plane Flying Challenge for Two
If straightforward flying seems a bit tame, try this airborne navigational adventure, strapped in to an ex-military Bulldog to complete a series of quick-fire missions with some breathtaking aerobatic manoeuvres along the way. Your experience begins with a flight and safety briefing from your ex-military instructor before you get kitted out in a flying suit. Then you'll take to the air in the Bulldog, sitting side by side with your instructor during a thrilling aerobatic flight demonstration. Next you'll take the controls of the plane yourself to complete a series of navigational tasks, finding a set of targets whilst maintaining your heading and speed. At each target you'll circle once to get the info you need to complete your mission. Depending on how well you do, your instructor might give you some additional tasks at short notice. Back on the ground, there'll be a full debrief and you'll get a copy of your map with headings, speeds and altitudes to take home.
